notes on a solo show.
I had my first solo show this fall at the Jamestown Art Center. "Assembled" took almost a year to prepare. I sold pieces, made new connections, and learned so much from the wonderful people at JAC.
So why have I been dragging my feet getting back to the studio?
I’m told this happens to a lot of artists after a big show. After months of building toward one goal, everything suddenly goes quiet. At first I worried about it, but I'm starting to see it differently now.
The show taught me a lot—about my work, how people connect with it, what I want to explore next. This pause isn't a block, it's me absorbing everything that happened and making space for what comes next.
I'm ready to get back to work. And what’s next? A new show in the fall!
