art tribe.
I’ve had a full creative week.
I started a class with Sarah Z. Short called "Breaking Through: A Workshop for Artists Who Don't Write (Yet)." Sarah's journey from writer to successful collage artist is impressive. Her thoughtful writing practice complements her collages beautifully. Learning from a master, I'm discovering just how essential writing can be when aligned with my art practice.
Meanwhile, the talented painter Annie Wildey has been helping me redesign my website—a job I've postponed for too long. Annie's keen design sensibility has transformed a tedious project into something inspirational and enjoyable. Her artistic eye brings a perspective I trust.
I have a challenging painting that needs some specialized stitching (it's complicated!) so I reached out to Tracy Page Stilwell. As both a painter and textile artist, Tracy had exactly the tools and expertise I needed, and she stepped right up.
Do you have an art tribe? I’m thankful for my art friends and community. Working as an artist is a solitary life most of the time. My art tribe brightens my day, offers the perfect words of encouragement or critique when needed, and are my support.
What about you?
