designer to painter.

I worked for many years creating designs, logos, and ad campaigns for clients. Most of them were not people I knew well- it was business.  Deadlines, size and budget restrictions, it was a job.  I’m not saying it wasn’t satisfying, but it was different. It was gratifying to see tangible results at the end of the day- a happy client, (mostly..) and a regular paycheck.

Fast forward. My children are grown and have their own children. I have more time. I don’t answer to clients anymore. I am a painter.

There are through lines. My paintings are pretty orderly. I’m a Bauhaus grid girl. But I love color, subtle shift changes and unexpected surprises.  When you put it all together it makes sense.

I’m so lucky to have this painting life. And PS: grandchildren are life changing.
