wood paintings
As a child I spent hours with my father in the basement building things. After his death these memories inspired my wood painting series.
I carefully select locally-sourced reclaimed wood for its unique character—each piece telling its own story through texture and surface quality. My process transforms these salvaged materials through cutting, painting, and intentional distressing to build rich, layered color palettes. Vintage advertising graphics and typography often find new life in these pieces, creating focal points that invite viewers to step closer and discover hidden details within the weathered surfaces.
